Lots of webmasters have noticed a change in Yahoo search engine rankings since 4th of July weekend. If you follow search engine news, you might already know that Yahoo and MSN’s Bing have been striking an alliance that will reach both organic search engine results and pay-per-click advertising.  While the pay-per-click alliance should be easy to work with, since you will just need to follow their new advertising guidelines, preparing your site for their new ranking system might another story, even if something tells me that it shouldn’t be that different from Google’s algorithms.

But, getting back to our 4th of July fluctuations, since neither Yahoo nor Bing have confirmed anything regarding their SERPS, I wouldn’t recommend pay too much attention to these changes yet. There is no need to freak out and look into ways to optimize your site right now. Just wait and see. Only once they made an official announcement that the transition is finally completed, should you start considering doing some search engine optimization work, adjusting your site for this new ranking algorithm.
