American Small Business,Where is the Future?

With new tax laws juxtaposed against rising regulatory costs, health care concerns for employees, educational issues and the emerging workforce across the planet,the future of small business in America can seem to be on shaky ground.

In my conversations with business owners I see that there are those that look to the future with great expectations and those that are seriously concerned.

China, The New World Super Economy?

The question may be mute and may better be expressed as: “How long will it take for China to become the financial and economic center of of our world?

The writing seems to be on the proverbial wall.

China has just passed Japan becoming the worlds 2nd largest economy. The Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Ltd is the largest bank in the world (figured by market value) .

Online Marketing, The iPhone Billion Dollar Success!

Yes it sounds unbelievable but it is true…

There is one company that is going for broke with their marketing. They sold $1.1 BILLION DOLLARS in 3 days …just this week-end!

They are selling items that cost hundreds of dollars each and for the most part their products require that you sign up for  1 to 2 years of additional (costly) monthly services.

Once Upon A Marketing Glossary

Over the last few years I have been asked for my marketing glossary several times.  Truth is, I don’t really have one.  I do have notes with definitions here and there but have never actually put them all in one place.  In fact, when I try to explain these marketing terms to someone, it seems to me that most of the time they think these terms don’t really exist!  It could be due to many of them sounding very similar to each other but trust me they have very different meanings.  I really felt the following keywords should be listed as they tend to be used most often and more commonly but for the full list with detailed definitions go to http://www.marketingterms.com/dictionary/

B2B Marketing Book Review: Inbound Marketing

Although I have had the pleasure to read many helpful books on marketing, this is my first book review on our company blog. And I am quite happy to announce that I had a great time reading Halligan & Shah’s newest book entitled, Inbound Marketing: Get Found using Google, Social Media and Blogs. The foreward was written by internet marketing author David Meerman Scott, so I knew that I was in for a treat.

How a Brand Goes Viral with Mass Influencers

One of the least used methods to explode your brand is to identify and build relationships with Mass Influencers.

According to a recent report from Forrester research, 16% of all online Americans are responsible for 80 percent of the brand impressions in online social settings. “Social media has created a new type of influencer – one defined not merely by number of friends or frequency of dialogue, but by both,” said Forrester Research Senior Analyst Augie Ray.
