I have been getting really excited over the new mobile technology that seems to be coming out faster then I can keep up with it.  Last week it was Firefox Home for the iPhone and this week it is, my personal favorite, Chrome2Phone for the Android.  Now at first glance I thought they were the same application for different phones because they both are accessed through Google’s mobile platform, the Cloud.  True as this may be… soon I discovered what sets these two applications apart.

We do specialize in driving traffic, SEO, social and article networking but only YOU can convert sales.

Over the years I have heard complaints about people spending so much money on marketing and not getting any sales.  The traffic is there, the product is great and they even put the time and effort into blogging and article marketing.  Sometimes they even go the extra mile and actually pay an online marketing company to drive more traffic, yet still the same results.  So these site owners continue to rack their brains as to what could possibly be the cause of such results?  Or should I say, lack of results?

Over the last few years I have been asked for my marketing glossary several times.  Truth is, I don’t really have one.  I do have notes with definitions here and there but have never actually put them all in one place.  In fact, when I try to explain these marketing terms to someone, it seems to me that most of the time they think these terms don’t really exist!  It could be due to many of them sounding very similar to each other but trust me they have very different meanings.  I really felt the following keywords should be listed as they tend to be used most often and more commonly but for the full list with detailed definitions go to http://www.marketingterms.com/dictionary/

Let’s admit it, there are times that no words can describe something. This is a blogging nightmare, or for that matter, the ageless curse of the writer. As a blogger, consider adding video production to your skill sets. Or at least, befriend someone who does posses video making and editing abilities.

Maybe your next purchase should not be an iPad or new Mac, but a flip camera. Maybe you need to expand your horizons as a purveyor of original content, by being, well . . . . . original.

CPA & Accountant Marketing Group Started on LinkedIn

McIntosh Marketing has now initiated a marketing group for CPA’s on LinkedIn.

CPA’s and accountants have traditionally been lax in their online marketing efforts. McIntosh Marketing is taking efforts to educate the financial field, and their related industries, on how to attract more high-end clients through an effective educational format via their blog and an established social media program.

Unique content is still king in online marketing. Search engines still love unique content, and the more useful content there is on your website, the more opportunities you give searchers to find your products and services. Here are some easy to follow online marketing tips concerning how to more effectively use original content:

  • Record everything and transcribe it all into text. Interviews, training sessions with your staff, questions asked of you from your clients, surveys, conversations, product DVD’s, personal opinions, etc.
